EU PVSEC and Intersolar Europe are combining their strengths for the most important global solar power event in 2016

The EU PVSEC, the world’s largest international photovoltaics conference, will be held at the same time and in the same location as the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry, Intersolar Europe, in Munich. Both events remain independent. By forming a collocation agreement, they are creating the international solar energy sector’s top event.

EU PVSEC - at different venues in Europe since 1977. As the world’s leading R&D conference, it serves as the international meeting point for PV experts from research, development and from industry. At this year’s upcoming EU PVSEC in Hamburg, 1,370 presentations will be dedicated to photovoltaics of the future, addressing the latest technologies, systems and most innovative materials, the policy framework, and the medium and long-term strategies and potentials. EU PVSEC is the interface between science, industry and policy makers.

Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading exhibition of the solar industry. In collaboration with ees Europe, Europe‘s largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, it serves as the industry’s international meeting place for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, project developers, investors, and installers.

In 2016, both events of the solar energy sector will open their doors to an international audience at the same time and in the same location. During June 21-24, 2016, visitors and participants will encounter the entire spectrum of solar energy concentrated at the Munich location: from science all the way to the final product.

With their decision to go for a joint location, EU PVSEC and Intersolar Europe will be strengthening Europe’s position with a strategy & information platform and by providing a showcase for state-of-the-art technologies, products and the latest market developments of the photovoltaics and energy storage industry.

Holding EU PVSEC and Intersolar Europe at the same time and in the same location will provide exhibitors, conference participants and visitors with an outstandingly wide range of products and information, while turning their stay in Munich into the most efficient and valuable appointment in the global solar power sector’s annual calendar.

Some 4,000 participants and speakers from all over the world are expected to attend the 2016 event, as well as about 40,000 trade visitors.
