Phono Solar Delivers 4.5MW of PV Modules to Japan

published: 2015-07-20 18:29

Phono Solar has signed an exclusive supply agreement to provide 4.5MW of high efficiency PV modules for a PV project in Yachimata, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The ground-mounted PV power plant is the largest of its kind in the city.

Locating in the center of farms, the scale of the PV plant is relatively rare because of Japan’s land scarcity. The 4.5MW solar PV project is estimated to generate more than 114,500,000 kWh of solar power annually over the next 25 years, offsetting nearly 50,000 tons of carbon emissions.

In addition to the 4.5MW project, there is another 3.5MW PV project planned to be built in the proximity of Yachimata. Phono solar has exclusively contracted to supply PV modules for the new power plant. These projects will increase Phono Solar’s market share in the Japanese market as it is devoted to delivering comprehensive renewable energy solution and highly reliable PV products to the country.
