NEXTracker to Deliver 105MW of PV Trackers to groSolar

published: 2015-04-21 15:57

groSolar, a commercial- and utility-scale solar engineering, procurement and construction firm, has entered into a 3-year 105 MW supply agreement with NEXTracker for its distributed generation (DG) projects throughout the U.S. Under the agreement, the first deployment will be a DG system in the Midwestern U.S. and NEXTracker will deliver 2.4MW of single axis trackers for the project.

NEXTracker’s tracker technology is one of the most popular options to the ground-mounted solar. Its unimpeded, unlinked rows provide greater layout flexibility on a wide range of sites. groSolar believes such technology will provide flexibility for layout-constrained DG projects, said James Resor, CEO of groSolar. With the single-axis PV trackers, groSolar expects to offer their customers lower costs and higher energy production solutions for delivering higher profits.

"DG is a fast-growing segment of the solar market and NEXTracker is thrilled to be expanding our presence in this area with groSolar," noted NEXTracker CEO Dan Shugar.
