General Energy Solutions Inc. (GES), a subsidiary of global producer of solar cells, Neo Solar Power Corporation (NSP), has successfully extend its service to UK market by installing one of the biggest rooftop solar arrays for a housing community.

The arrays, totaling of 14MW, spread out on the rooftops of 4,500 homes in Tameside, Greater Manchester. 1,000 homes with total capacity of 3.1MW have been completed and COD on October 15th, and the rest are expected to be completed by January next year. In addition, GES will donate a rooftop solar system to a furniture recycling charity in this community. Dawson Lane, Mayor of Greater Manchester, Tameside City and Mayoress, Councillor Jacqueline Lane JP will both attend the donation ceremony on October 15th.

The US$32-million investment deal is the first as well as the biggest solar financial deal for housing communities in the UK. More than 56,000 pieces of GES’s solar modules have been used for this rooftop solar project to generate more than 12 million kWh of electricity every year. Aside from the rooftop array project, GES has been working on a two-phase, 25MW US Indianapolis Airport solar power system, demonstrating the company’s capability of integrating resources from both upper and downstream supply chain.

“The financing of this UK rooftop solar power projects was completely arranged by a local global financial institution. It’s an important milestone in globalization for both GES’s solar system business and funding.” said Dr. Quincy Lin, Chairman of NSP and GES.

GES’s module has passed third-party quality certificates in many countries. ”GES is always looking for renewable solutions with mutual benefit and environment sustainability to each other.” Said Dr. Quincy Lin, Chairman of NSP and GES.
