Explore the Potentials of Southeast Asia Smart Grid

——Smart Grid Southeast Asia Forum 2014

Today, T&D utilities in Southeast Asiaregion are facing serious challenges: the fundamental shortage in electricity supply, poor tariff to recover the costs, lack of IT knowledge in human resources, technical & nontechnical losses and finance constrain for expansion. Deploying smart grid technologies might be a key to address those issues. However, in the process of developing smart grid, SEA’ T&D sectorhave a long way to go given that even in the West, developed countries had met challenges and problems while rolling out smart grid.

The Smart Grid Southeast Asia Forum 2014(SGSAF 2014) is an event designed to answer those key questions.

  • How SEA’s T&Dutilities leverage the pressing issues such as supply shortage and AT&C losses with the smart grid development?
  • What would be the effective business models and economic means for SEA’s T&Dsector to develop SMART GRID?
  • How to consider the social and economic impacts for rolling out smart technologiesin Southeast Asia Region?

We believe, with more experiences, vision and knowledge being shared, more discussion and debates being organized openly, SEA’s utilitieswould be able to find the different effective way to develop smart grids.SGSAF 2014is ready for you to update industry information and to network with C-level executives inBali Island, Indonesia on 21-23 April, 2014.
